Welcome

I am an Assistant Professor of Physics at Kennesaw State University, working in theoretical atomic, molecular, and optical (AMO) physics.

My research develops theory and computational models for how molecules respond to intense, ultrashort laser pulses. The goal is to control and image electron and nuclear motion in molecules on attosecond to femtosecond timescales for applications in chemistry and photonics.

Research Highlights

  • Strong-field ionization and excitation of molecules: how tunneling ionization and excitation under short, intense laser pulses initiates, controls, and probes electron motion in molecular ions.
  • Attosecond spectroscopy: probing electron motion in molecules by absorbing a photon from or ionizing an electron by an isolated attosecond pulse.
  • Laser-induced electron diffraction (LIED): identifying molecular isomers and imaging molecular structure using a self-electron from the molecules created by an intense mid-infrared laser pulse.
  • High harmonic spectroscopy: probing sub-picometer nuclear motion with attosecond time resolution in molecules using high-order harmonic spectroscopy.
